An Outstanding Swimming Achievement

This weekend Year 10 student, Eden Warburton, competed in her first senior competition in Sunderland for the senior NER'S (North East Championship) even though she is still only 14!

The competition was an open event for ages 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 + and Eden performed well above her years to make the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke finals with new Personal Bests.

She finished just outside the medals but came in an outstanding 4th place twice and in 5th place. She was also the youngest swimmer to make all the backstroke finals.

It was a fantastic weekend for Eden, with the times she swam she has made it through to the National Swimming Championships in Sheffield in July/ August.

Well done Eden!
