Charlotte is British Taekwondo Champion

Cracking news - Year 9 student, Charlotte Smith is once again the British Champion!

Charlotte is a class act.  She was supposed to fight at -59kg Cadet class but due to some unfortunate circumstance, she had to move up to the +59kg Cadet class. This is basically an open weight category.

However, this didn't make any difference to Charlotte and she annihilated her first opponent in one round.

Her quarter final fight was a little tighter but Charlotte won comfortably in three rounds before moving onto the her semi final fight where she turned up the heat and stopped her opponent in two rounds.

The Final was against her Great Britain team mate who also went to the European Championships with Charlotte. This was a quiet affair for two rounds, then Charlotte went for a tear up in the last round and took the title in style.

After getting to quarter finals at the European Championships for Great Britain, this was the cherry on the top of a awesome 2016 season for Charlotte.

Charlotte's family would like to say a massive thank you, as without the help and support from both the PE Dept and RHS, they believe Charlotte couldn't have achieved half of what she has done to date.

Well done Charlotte - Team RHS is very proud of you!
