Lest We Forget
Student Leaders and staff of Rastrick High School community gathered in remembering those people who are affected by wars, both in the past and now. It allowed us time to think about all those people who suffer in wars around the world. And it reminded us how important it is to work for peace.
We remember and gave thanks for all those who have died in the service of their country in war. We commemorated the passing of all former students from this school and its predecessor schools – from the First World War generation, we remembered the 32 boys of Rastrick Grammar School who lost their lives between 1914 and 1918. We also remembered the 18 former students who died during the Second World War. We also remembered those soldiers who have served and died in more recent times.
