Rastrick High School is an integrated and inclusive school where the care and support of our students is paramount.
The welfare and academic progress of students is supervised on a daily basis by their Form Tutors. Students are assigned to mixed ability form groups for the purposes of pastoral care and guidance after consultation with their primary teachers. They usually remain in the same form group, with the same Form Tutor, throughout Lower School (Key Stage 3: Years 7, 8 and 9) and Upper School (Key Stage 4: Years 10 and 11).
We welcome parent/carers’ involvement in supporting and encouraging their children. It is recognised that parent/carers can make a positive difference to a child’s progress and achievement and we cannot emphasise enough the importance of strong home-school links and how much we value parental engagement.
